It has always been this way. The presence of the elephant in the room continues to grow as our sentient awareness makes it all but impossible to avoid the realization that men can do better at coitus than they ever imagined. Note the verb. Can do better. Not should do better. That is part of sentient awareness as well. We are fully aware that the male gender has the capability to do better at loving coitus.
The male gender just needs to grow up and accept its responsibility for success at the act that creates love.
The current version of humanity has a tendency to look for someone to blame for all of the problems. Because it was initially a simple-minded version of humanity that was looking, they never considered looking at the human race itself. They never looked for some flaw in animal life that a sentient race must correct.
We take the individual transgressions and seek to lay blame, never suspecting that the problem is so much more simple and widespread.
What has confounded for so long was that we never go further.
We never seek to understand the source of all of our malignant activity. We just shrug our shoulders and take it all for granted. "It's just the way it is", we say, as we just try to cope with the individual insanities with which humanity is fraught. "It's just the way it is" will become one of the most despised phrases that held us back from our humanity. Or, an epitaph. The worst phrase, of course, is "we are only human."
