Patterned behaviour, an ancient bequeath
That holds us in chains of unreason's deceit
From reasoning's presence, we only retreat
The boldness required to say we are more
Than baffling remnants, we need to explore
Magnificent beauty of life as could be
A sentient race with the will to be free
Of the chains and the dirt that were piled on the grave
Of sentient beauty, mistaken as knave
The shadows unseen in the corners of mind
Unhinges the wit and the heart of mankind
Love can emerge from the depths of that grave
As sentience teaches us how to behave
