The Great Narrative, Part II

The Great Narrative Recap

There remains a gaping hole in the Great Narrative that prevents humanity from attaining a sane, sentient state.  It can be gone in the virtual blink of the eye.

The Great Narrative, Part II

When we first emerged into our sentient state of heightened awareness, while much of existence confounded us, there was one particular aspect, one legacy of the animal, that humanity could not confront at all.  It was too much for our feeble-minded ancestors.  We are no longer feeble-minded.

For three millennia, as we have learned to comprehend so much about existence, this aspect of the stupoured state of the animal has held us in thrall.

We have yet to allow a close inspection of ourselves.  We shunted the most important aspect of sentient emergence into the void.

The Great Conversation, definition

My definition of The Great Conversation differs from those trying to sell books, which is all about the great thinkers (see Aphorisms, for instance).  The Great Conversation, to me, is much more comprehensive.

The Great Narrative is a better term for what I am describing.  It is the widely accepted state of the human race.  The gaping hole in our Humanity and sanity has not been acknowledged in either case.

Many concepts are learned, like walking on two legs, talking, and writing.  They are learned concepts.  That is what distinguishes prehumans from animals.  Learning Loving Coitus will distinguish the Human race from the prehuman race.

The current Great Narrative

Everyone extrapolates the horrors of our current existence into the future. That is how we got here.  That is the current Great Narrative.  Everyone expects madness, misery, and pain.

Rather than continue that trend, I looked for our potential, found promise, and uncovered that which prevents our Humanity from becoming whole.

We have never gotten past the animal's take on existence.  It is laced through every conversation.  We continue to look in the rear view mirror and extrapolate it into the future.  "Woe is me," seems to succinctly describe the bones of the current Great Narrative.

It is time we change the Narrative.

Conscious evolution

 Conscious evolution

As opposed to genetic evolution, conscious adaptation to circumstances is how a sentient race evolves itself as it seeks clarity.  It makes of evolution something that is no longer willy-nilly.  We aren't there yet.

Humanity will accelerate its evolution into rational directions, once its sentient cognitive function is liberated.  The ability to comprehend so much more than an animal and seek clarity makes us Human.  It's not about intelligence.  It's about clarity.  It is not about educating the mind.  It is about educating the heart.

The worst of the prehumans will tell you 'perception is reality'.  It is not.  Clarity is required.

Conscious evolution is all about recognition, acceptance, and adaptation to sentient realizations (i.e. clarity).  Conscious evolution will replace witless revolution for a Human race.

The subconscious is where prehumanity puts realizations that it has not been willing or able to process, just like an animal.  That substitutes dismay for clarity.

One subject is so momentous that we attempted to prevent any trace of it remaining.  That is, of course, impossible for a sentient race whose awareness seeks answers and demands clarity, irregardless of whether the individual is willing to accept the realizations.

Because Loving Coitus is so momentous, clarity and our sentient state suffered a debilitating blow by obscuring it.  As each generation ages, it learns to obscure it entirely from sight.  We attempt to teach the obscurity to our children.  That is what children have and always will rebel against, until clarity is achieved.

We can think and live consciously, rationally, amidst a mature emotional backdrop of stability and balance by no longer pandering to the animal's witless perception of life.

Heart, the closest confidante, nonplussed
By reeling of emotions we should trust
So, when the spinal fire is turned to dust
Love, the infinite, corrodes to lust

"One who asks a question feels like a fool for a moment.  One who refuses to ask a question feels like a fool for a lifetime."  Or, a sentient race remains a fool for millennia.

-Japanese proverb

Humanity remains a dilettante at sentience, a poser.  We're on the threshold of something more, something Human.

The human race is doing a fine job of acting like an animal with too much brains and too little sense.

When will the human race be Human, with love in its heart and sense in its head?

It's not about the individual being human.  It is about the human race being human.

One indication that we have attained our Humanity will be when no one desires to lead or be led.

It's about clarity, not intelligence.  Intelligence desperately seeking to obscure clarity drives us mad.

Prehumanity is made of pragmatists and dreamers.  Both are lying to themselves.  Humanity will be made of pragmatic dreamers seeking clarity.

We are nothing more than a demented animal until we learn the truth regarding love.

Clodhoppers

I am paving the way for humanity to turn clodhopping into cloudhopping by putting wings on its heels.

Misogyny

Misogyny

Misogyny is the strongest argument against the prehuman condition.  It reveals the source of our madness.  Misogyny can only exist in a very warped version of sentient existence.  It reveals a perversion of a sentient reality far from the realm of clarity that a sentient race, perforce, seeks.  Misogyny doesn't even make sense to an animal, only the prehuman.

While the most blatant, offensive forms of misogyny are prevalent but not shared by all men, the micro-aggressions are ubiquitous.  Misogyny is a problem for the whole male gender.

There is only one link in the chain of events of our existence that suffices to explain misogyny.  There is only one reason that misogyny could possibly exist.

I have spent the last fifteen years attempting to explain it.  The exploration was tortuous because of the twisted way in which we have accepted misogyny and distorted our existence in order to hide from something that offends the sentient awareness and sensibilities of both genders.  I had to overcome all of the lies we tell ourselves.  They are nearly endless.  It is so bad that the most minor transgressions of misogyny are brushed off as no big deal.

It is reasonable, under the circumstances, that women fight for their rights and expose instances of blatant misogyny.  At best, though, it is a stopgap.  It is a battle that never ends as long as the source of misogyny, the madness of a sentient race ignoring what its sentient awareness tells it, remains.

We obscure the extent of misogyny's devastating grip on humanity.  Between mind games, domestic abuse, verbal abuse, physical abuse, micro-aggressions, rape, sex trade et al, it is extensive beyond anything that prehumanity is willing to admit.

The male gender must get over the burden of guilt and shame that they have carried around for three millennia and realize that all men can do that which they have always desired and, thereby, treat women equally and equitably by succeeding at unassisted Loving Coitus.  After all, we are a thinking race or, more exactly, a race that has the potential to think.

Love

How does one describe sight to a blind person?  color to the color blind?  love to a race that has yet to experience it in all of its varied and most magnificent forms that are only the domain of a fully sentient race?
It's even worse than I describe above because of the preconceived paltry notion of what love is. This makes it even more difficult to convey what love can be.  We convinced ourselves that the paltry remnants of love that already exist is all there is.

"Crazy"

Crazy

Is it crazy to believe that, in this life, there's something more

That hidden in a corner there's a present that's in store
For all that seek the answer to a puzzle so complex
That only hearts can find it; for the mind it will perplex
The stars and moons and vastness of all of time and space
Cannot provide the answer and the will cannot replace
A tender word or two can brush across the windswept plains
Bringing views of heaven midst the joyous falling rains
But magic is within the heart and brings its own sweet peace
The magic that can work its ways and bring the sweet release
Just crazy

Crisis of Identity

Crisis of Identity

The human race remains in the midst of an identity crisis that began the moment we first gained our heightened sentient awareness, creativity, imagination, and the ability to communicate far beyond the bounds of an animal, and acquired the unflinching desire for clarity.

Human life remains ensnared in a trap set long before humanity ever walked the Earth.  We have been bombarded by gibberish created by our most ancient and witless ancestors that were dumber than a rock, bewildered by their sentience, and leaning on their animal legacy of stupour to explain that which they did not understand.  Our more recent ancestors remain bewildered by the same stupour.

It is a crisis of identity for a race attempting sentience.

Emotional upheaval is the hallmark of a sentient race whose clarity has remained obstructed.  Its sentient awareness remains obscured.

Imagine our emerging sentient state as a child that had to make it up as it went along without the slightest hint as to what it means to be Human.  The complexity and confusion rendered the task nearly incomprehensible.  We attacked it like an animal.  Of course.

That is what made the last three millennia so difficult.  Paranoia, hate, and misinformation went on a rampage.  We saw that coitus should be a loving event, but it seemed unattainable.  We shunted the thought and our desire for clarity aside with prejudice.

Identity crisis.

If you have a pervasive feeling that all is not right, that would be correct.  Welcome to the first stirrings of your Humanity.

The crucial inspection that has always been required is not about muons, wavicles, protons, neutrons, quarks, quasars, quadratic equations, fashion, ecology, governments, marketplaces, economics, the supernatural, hair care products, space, your navel, or the individual quirks of individual representatives of humanity.  The crucial inspection is of humanity itself.  Clarity regarding our own sentient state, which lies far beyond the stupoured domain of the animal where we remain, is required.

We have never before been situated to answer the question that is ever-present.  What is wrong with humanity and how do we correct it?  The question could only be asked in the presence of the answer.  The answer is now available.

"Burn down the house"

Burn down the house

A whipping wind approaches habitation
Presentiment of final abdication
From broken views and mankind's relegation
The end of all of mankind's aberration
A flare of fire in spinal conflagration
Burning down the house of aggravation
Rebuilding, now, a house of approbation
