Escape from life began so long ago
Encumbered by a single witless woe
We turned our heads from all that should be real
Rather than along the spine to feel
So, entertainment in the form of fiction
Became all human life's extreme addiction
We bury our whole lives in the escape
Deception cloaks the life inside its cape
Fundamental to deception's fall
Fire along the spine for one and all
